CREATING THE TITLE FOR YOUR FILM

As soon as you have had your lesson on titling, you should proceed with designing your film title and incorporating it into your opening. Remember  - the task is to create the opening of a thriller film WITH TITLES, so this is assessed as part of the product. Try to be creative, and study other examples carefully. As part of your research marks, you EACH need to analyse the design and presentation of at least 3 different thriller film titles. You can also use TV Drama titling as part of your inspiration or research, but you must explain why you have chosen to use the specific example you have analysed.

Ensure that you consider how the film title, graphics, music, and placement, all work in the overall construction of the sequence.What do they contribute to the meaning about character, mood, atmosphere or any aspect of narrative?

DEADLINE APPROACHING!

Deadline approaching

 

Friday March 21st 2014.

 

This Friday is the deadline for the editing of your film footage.

 

This should include your image editing, sound editing (Foleys, dialogue and soundtrack (COPYRIGHT FREE) )

 

Some of you are well on course to meet this deadline.

 

Missing deadlines does have consequences and results in your overall Research and Planning mark being reduced (Time Management).

 

Partial missing of the deadline (it is clear to us that you are pretty much on course and just have a few things to complete) will be penalised. 

However, if we are really concerned that you are falling well behind schedule, a letter will also be sent home to a parent/guardiann alerting them to our concerns.

Don't forget that we are also making judgements as to your suitability to progress into year 2 of this subject.

 

TODAY IS FILMING DEADLINE!

Unless you have an agreed extension with us, TODAY IS YOUR DEADLINE FOR ALL OF THE FILMING (not editing). Your unedited footage must be in your group's folder on the mac network by 4.10 today. You should also have completed all of the BLOG work to date (all planning tasks and all filming decisions and processes - all presented using the blog format to its full potential).
